Samsung Chromebook (Wi-Fi, 11.6-Inch) Reviews
The Samsung Chromebook by Google are for those who just want to use a simple device for everyday needs. Email, facebook, that term paper, calendar, powerpoint, project, web browsing, etc. Done. I suggest you have another computer at home to use so that after you're done finishing whatever you need to finish with this chromebook, you can access it at home and complete your work on an actual PC. For example, when I'm at Starbucks or in the library, I use this chromebook (yes you can use it offline as well) to type a paper; however, I don't have Microsoft Word, instead I use Google Docs. So when I get home, I access it on my Google Drive then I can save it to Microsoft Word and make the changes I need. By then I can print and do whatever. So it's really like an "On the Go" kind of laptop. It really shouldn't be an ALL IN ONE/STORE EVERYTHING laptop. I love it. Please know your facts and what your investing in before you buy because it's actually a steal for just $250.
At this price, the Chromebook finally makes sense! Here is what I like about it:

- Responsive and fast boot-up!
- Full keyboard makes for an excellent typing experience. How many tech items exist at this price point allow for a good typing experience?
- It performs all claimed functions very well. It is difficult for me to recall the last time I purchased a tech item that truly did everything it claimed to do well.
- Very lightweight!
- Reliable!
- Good battery life.
I feel the Chromebook satisfies the computing needs for 80% of the population. More computing power would only be needed for hardcore media editing, hardcore gaming, or software development. Not everyone needs to do those things.
I cannot wait until a Chromebook like this comes out with a larger screen and similar price point. It will be the perfect candidate for my grandparents!
It is awesome to have an alternative to Windows and Apple for personal computing.
I got this computer last week, and although I haven't had it for long, I already love it. I bought this product from amazon even though they said out of stock, but too days later, I got an email saying that it was shipped, and a couple days after that it was on my doorstep. I'm very impressed with the design, and it is quicker then I expected. I was also thrilled when I plugged in my old DELL mouse, and it hooked up right away. I would recommend this to anyone who like to travel, or is just looking for a alternative to windows. I love how it is absolutely quiet, and their is very little heat. I cannot express how thin it is, a friend of mine saw it, and almost didn't believe the price, and he used it for a awhile, and was very impressed. It's faster then my dual core 4gb ram windows laptop. The sound is also way better then I thought. I would encourage anyone looking for a cheap laptop to buy this product.
I needed a new computer but am on a limited budget. I didn't need some over-the-top, high powered fancy computer, just something to serve my basic needs - word processing, spreadsheets, emails, games, videos. I saw the Chromebook advertised on TV and asked my son (much more of a computer geek than I am) to look into it. Everything he had to say was good, so I saved up my gift cards for my birthday and Christmas and bought one and I couldn't be happier. With the exception of a tempermental Flash player and some streaming video (from Netflix in particular which I am told will be coming soon) not available, this little baby is terrific!!! Just what I needed!
