I purchased the Samsung Chromebook (3G) knowing full well the difference between a Chrome OS device and a Windows device, and I think that anyone who is thinking of buying a Chromebook should be aware of the differences.

When shopping for this I kept my personal needs in mind. I am a college student and I needed a computer that is very portable, with online storage that I can access from different computers, something that I can occasionally watch a video on, and word process with. My Chromebook lived up to my expectations.

I personally love the keyboard, I can't believe how fast I've adapted to it, because it did look a little small when I first laid eyes on it. The screen is matte, which personally I like (no chance of glare), though I had read previously that the viewing angles were nothing to brag about, I was pleasantly surprised, the screen is more than adequate. The oversize touch pad is a breeze to use, though getting used to the two finger right click is taking me a little time.

Overall it's a wonderful computer for people who need a computer for browsing the web and typing up documents. If you're looking to game, or do intense image/video editing you should stick to windows or mac.

This is a great product that gives you a tablet and a laptop. The screen is not touch sensitive but the pointer is easily used and with the keyboard it gives you a real laptop computer. The Google operating system is easy to use and allows you to download apps just like a tablet. Screen size is 11.6 inch and the unit is easily transportable. Good for emails, apps, books and a number of sophisticated pc functions for anyone's needs. Even though you can't have Microsoft Office there are apps that allow the same things. All in all this is a wonderful pc and I love it. Battery life is good.

My husband just surprised me with a chromebook for my birthday. Yay! I have been reading the reviews and great additional comments from Dr. T and others since Christmas. This machine is exactly what I expected and even better. I had a galaxy tab 2 7" for a few months last year, but discovered I'm not a fan of large touch screens. The keyboard on this device is very comfortable to use, speakers sound really good, and I am pleased with the display. I am impressed with the quality for the price.

I purchased 2 Chromebooks on November 2nd. They just got in on yesterday. I have used both to make sure that each one is free of defect. Both of my units are in great shape. I purchased the second unit for my parents for Christmas, so I will write a second review once they have opened it and let me know what they think of it. For my applications, this fits everything I need. Yes, Netflix still doesnt work, and I do want to be able to use it. This thing is lightning quick for me, my internet speeds are 65Mbps download, 20Mbps upload and a 8 ms ping on speedtest. There is no issue with hangups at all for me when loading pages.

A little about the device. The sound that comes out of the speaker I would say is on par with what a tablet will deliver you. It sounds good enough to watch movies, and lacks just slightly for accurate audio due to a lack of bass. Other than that, the sound is more than sufficient. The screen display isnt stunning, but it is far from bad. It gives you a good clean picture that wont disappoint you but wont blow you away, its an average display. Yes viewing angles arent huge, but its a small personal netbook and it does its just more than capably. The keyboard is very responsive and a pleasure to type on. This review is being made on my new chromebook. The touchpad is also very responsive and I have absolutely no need for an external mouse. I am 6'6 with huge hands and this works just fine, I also dont have any creaking in the sides of my new chromebook, a fear I had from previous reviews. This machine doesnt get hot and is completely silent.

If you had reservations about picking one of these up, I would say just buy it. It far exceeded what I thought it would be. It loads super quick, surfs the web great and I use it at work to avoid using my work computer for personal use. If you have any questions, just post them in the comments and I will do my best to answer them. I will post a second review after christmas for my gifted chromebook. Thanks

I have had my Chromebook for about a week now and I have to say that I thoroughly enjoy it. It is really amazing how fast its up and running. All of my windows computers take for ever to get going. It doesn't require you to download any anti virus because its built in and it does't pop up with the annoying updates. If you want a fast, light weight computer to get online then this computer should do the trick. Also, remember everything can (and eventually will) be stored on the cloud, where you can access it from anywhere on any computer.
